| Gabrielle's mother died of an unknown blood disease when she was 14. For years she's been locked up in her room doing research and writing what she's found. She's come to the conclusion that her mother died from a vampire bite. But most people think she's just striving for attention in her writing skills. Shes out to prove them wrong. She's not a slayer, but she always wears a silver cross around her neck. After her mother died, her father went insane, the doctors placed him in a facility for cases like his. They found similar blood cells like they found in her mother, but instead of killing him like they did her, he took on a different affect. Gabrielle also has been trying to study is there something on her fathers side that can fight the vampires, or that maybe there was once a great vampire slayer on her fathers side, but not great by practice, but by genes. She was 16 when her father was finally put away and she was sent to live with a stuffy aunt who would have her believe that such things were nonsense. On the day she turned 18, she left her Aunts and got out on her own, using the money she saved up from her various part time jobs the two years before. She took a few night classes in journalism and currently is working at the local newspaper replying to advice columns. While she isn't working, she's doing research. She feels she's so close, but so far from the truth, will she ever find it? |
That was 10 years ago. Her history as of now...well let's see. We'll have to
do it in sections. We'll start with Vincent.
Vincent was marked with a brand. If not for this brand, she never would have
met him. She was 21 and thought her destiny was to die by the hand of Caide
Thanatos. He wanted her to bear him a son and then kill her. This is how she
met Vincent. He came looking for answers, she was looking for answers. They
became friends, Vincent started staying with her because he had no where to
go. They became lovers and fell in love. They were going to fight Caide
together...but long story short, Vincent took it upon himself to protect her
and did the only thing he knew to do to be able to save her. He became a
vampire and broke her heart because she could never love a vampire, no matter
what. Her biggest regret his her reaction that night she saw him and what he
became. She acted rashly, the only way she knew how. She didn't deal well with
emotional pain. Physical pain was nothing, but pain of the heart...she'd never
felt such pain before. She told him to go and he went. She never saw him again
because she left soon after that. She couldn't stay there with all those
memories. Not to mention she was 6 weeks pregnant with his child at that
point. BUT...because of the trauma she had suffered and her depressed state,
she lost the child at 10 weeks. She never told Vincent that night because she
knew that if he knew, he'd never let her go. She still wonders if she should
have told him back then, how different things would be. But she tries not to
dwell on the past because it can't be changed.
Caide was what drove her love apart and ruined that chance at happiness. He
caused Vincent to believe the only way to save her was to become what Caide
was. Ironic that it in itself destroyed her for a time. But because of the
gene she possesed, she could either become a powerful vampiress or be immune
to it altogether. He waned to turn her or kill her so no one else could have
her. But its interesting to note that her family, only a female was born every
100 years. But Gabrielle now has a daughter. So something happened to the
gene.
So, we find ourselves at the time after Vincent let her go. She left Darfael
to get away because Vincent had not tried to talk to her again. She regretted
her actions that night and wished somewhere inside that he would not take her
cries as finality. But he did because he never returned. She would have sought
him out had she only known where to look. She was depressed because she truly
loved him. She carried his child, the last of his human self in her womb. She
tried to be happy with that but she was still sad. Perhaps her body was still
suffering from Caide's malice. Maybe that was the reason she lost the child.
But fate was cruel in taking it away. It was all she had left of him and all
she would have, and fate would not let her have it.
Once she lost the child, she started drinking heavily and dabbling in drugs.
She thought she could escape her pain. It was through this that she met Lucas
Holt, her now husband. He was an officer of the law and found her, near death,
while they were doing a drug bust. She was beautiful despite her grungy
appearance and he decided he wouldn't let her die. He got her to agree to go
into a drug rehab where he helped her pull through and become herself again.
Through this trying time, they fell in love with each other. She only told him
that she had lost the man she loved and had no reason to live, that was why
she had gotten into the vice of drugs. Then one day he said, what if you
succeeded in your slow suicide, then I would have lost the woman I have come
to love. That was what finally pulled her out of her stance. She got better
and got back into writing. By now, a year had passed since her episode with
Vincent and Caide and she was moving on. Gabrielle and Lucas married a year
after that and soon had their first daughter. They named her Charity because
they'd been blessed.
7 years after that makes 10 years since her past. Charity was seven. Gabrielle
was 33 going on 34 and 2 months pregnant with their second child. Lucas was
39.
For 9 years she lead a normal life without the threat of vampires and lycans.
But She realized that she was living a farce. The demons of her past still
haunted her and would haunt her until she died did she not face them. She told
Lucas that she needed to return to where she came from and face her past. It
was the only way she could move on to her future completely. She wanted her
family with her to support her. So they came back to Darfael together and
rented a house. They'd been there a month when we enter the present story of
now. Gabrielle was still frightened of the city...she was afraid of ghosts.
Gabrielle's attitude towards vampires. Well, she hated them before because of
what that had done to her family. But over the last decade, she met some
vampires who were kind and loving. She learned that they were not all bad.
There was a vampire named Everson who she befriended in rehab. It was he who
helped her numb the past. For a time, he was her best friend.
But what really drove Gabrielle back to Darfael? Well, she picked up a book
one day because she recognized the authors name (unless it wasn't published
under her real name? if it wasn't...just say she picked up an interestin gbook)
and she read it and even though the names were different, she began to
recognize the events. This book was about Vincent even though it did not use
his name. The things it described made Gabrielle's stomach turn and she
thought it must be true. Not only had Caide turned him and ruined their life,
but he took his dignity and self-worth. Gabrielle felt horrible now
especially. Now she remembered that night when he said he had held on because
the thought of her. She'd never considered what his adversary was in holding
on, but now she knew. By god he had endured that because he knew she'd be
there waiting for him if he could just hope she would understand why he did
the things he did. And she stabbed him and told him to get teh fuck out of her
life. She deserved teh trials she had went through after that. She was cold.
So she wanted to avenge Vincent's fate back then. Caide had to pay. And maybe,
just maybe Vincent would still be there and she could say she was sorry...for
what it was worth.
She realized that she had aged and he would not have. How different she would
look to him...would he even know her anymore?
Pets:cat=Diego died a few years before, but she has a son of his who looks
just like him named Porter.
Job: She's a stay at home mom who writes an advice column from home.
Property: They are renting a house in Darfael, she's undecided if she wants to
move them there permanently.
Gabrielle was originally created as a character on an RP Forum named Silver Moon City. Then that forum died or something and a couple of players started their own vampires forum called Dark Decadence. Both are still pretty much a ghost town these days.
