ABOUT SITE

Retroville.org is my domain. Originally, I wanted the domain www.vagabond.com but unfortunately, it was already taken. So I was sad. Then I started thinking what else could I have and then I wanted www.retrospective.com but ALAS it was taken too. Retrospective means to look back...which I have this thing for retro things. So after putting words together for a while, I came up with retroville and only the .org was available so I grabbed it up as soon as I could. It has nothing to do with the town in Jimmy Neutron haha. Not to be confused with www.retrouvaille.org either...I'm not about married couples needing counseling. Strangely enough, some people came to my site looking for retrouvaille before...haha. But there was nothing I could do abouto it...so yeah. So thats the story behind the domain. The domain doesn't really fit my layouts or anything...but oh well...I don't intend to change it anymore. Renewals coming up in December too...*sigh*

So, I've had this site since January 2006 and have gone through 3 layouts. My first two were this brown/teal/cream color scheme, but I got bored with those and we are now at this sort of antique pink looking thing. So here I'm going to show you my old layouts and maybe talk about them.

 

  

I did this layout really fast but I was very pleased with it. I thought It was very cute, though not very retro. I was in love with those colors though, as you can tell when they followed into my next layout. I used this layout from January-May 2006.

  

I'm a lazy person so I didn't want to have to work with different colors because all my pages had that light blue background. So I took the same colors and did a new spin on them. Not very different, real simple. I used this layout from May-October 2006.
